Gearing Up for the Fall
Tomorrow night (Wednesday) we will have our annual kick-off picnic at Planet Playground at Northeast Park. Those picnics are always times of grear fun and fellowship (not to mention the delicious food), and we look forward to being together. But the significance of this picnic is that it is the beginning of our resuming our Wednesday night activities for the Fall. We take a break during the summer but pick back up in September. This picnic is our way of getting everyone back together and ready to get back in the swing of things.
This coming Sunday we will have our annual "Promotion Sunday" when we move children up to their new classes if they have reached the right age, and introduce new teachers. This will be a transition Sunday when we get everyone situated and ready to begin the new classes the first Sunday in Septermber.
This Sunday I will also be concluding my series of sermons on the Ten Commandments and will be starting a new series in September. So, this is really a time of transition for Northpointe and we have lots of new things to anticipate. I will share more details about our Wednesday night program in the next week.
Let's look forward to all that God has in store for us in the coming year.
