Gearing Up for the Fall

Bob Schwanebeck on August 24, 2010

Tomorrow night (Wednesday) we will have our annual kick-off picnic at Planet Playground at Northeast Park.  Those picnics are always times of grear fun and fellowship (not to mention the delicious food), and we look forward to being together.  But the significance of this picnic is that it is the beginning of our resuming our Wednesday night activities for the Fall.  We take a break during the summer but pick back up in September.  This picnic is our way of getting everyone back together and ready to get back in the swing of things. A Long Break

Bob Schwanebeck on August 23, 2010

I knew I had not posted to this blog in a long time, but I did not realize it had been since early July!  Believe me, I have not been on vacation all that time, I just have not been posting here like I should.  I am going to resolve to do better. VBS is always a busy time.  Getting ready for it and then going through it takes a good bit of mental, spiritual, and physical preparation.  Many of our folks went through that busy process during June.  This year our...

The Last Day

Bob Schwanebeck on June 25, 2010

Well, we have made it!  This is the last day of VBS for 2010.  How God has blessed us this week.  The children have been wonderful, the teachers have been organized and diligent, the staff has been so helpful, the music has been fun and inspirational, the snacks have been tasty and good, the recreation has been entertaining, and the crafts have been interesting.  Whew!  Did I cover it all?  Thanks again to Rhonda for all of her hard work in putting  it together.  That made this week go so smoothly.  And Sarah stepped in to fill Rhonda's place in...
